Short version: Receipt Keeper stores your receipts and their details on your
own device. We do not run servers that collect your receipts, and we never sell your data. The
only information that leaves your device is what Apple and our subscription provider need to run
your paid subscription.
1. What the app stores, and where
Receipt Keeper is an on-device app. The photos of your receipts and the details you record
(amounts, VAT, dates, vendors, categories, tags and notes) are stored in the app’s private
storage on your device. This information is not transmitted to us and is not held on any server
we control. You do not need an account to use the app.
2. Camera
The app uses your device camera only to photograph receipts, and only when you choose to.
Captured images are saved to the app’s private storage on your device.
3. Subscriptions (Apple & RevenueCat)
If you buy a subscription, the purchase is processed by Apple through the App
Store — we never see or receive your card details. To manage subscription status (for example, to
know whether your subscription is active and to restore purchases), we use
RevenueCat, Inc. as a processor. In connection with a purchase, RevenueCat and
Apple may process purchase records and app-generated identifiers (such as an anonymous app user
ID and device/receipt information). This is used solely to operate and restore your subscription
— not to identify you personally and not for advertising or tracking.

4. Analytics and tracking
The app does not include third-party advertising or cross-app tracking, and does not sell your
personal information.
5. Sharing your data
Any exporting or sharing of your records — for example a PDF/CSV report, or a backup file — is
initiated by you, and the resulting file goes only where you choose to send it (such as your email,
files app, or accountant). We do not receive a copy.
6. Keeping records for HMRC
The app helps you retain receipt records, which HMRC generally requires you to keep for several
years. Because these records are stored on your device, keeping them safe (including using the
app’s backup feature and your device’s own backup) is your responsibility. The app organises your
records; it does not provide tax advice and does not file anything to HMRC on your behalf.
7. Your choices and rights
You control your data directly: you can edit or delete any receipt in the app, and deleting the
app removes its on-device data. If you are in the UK/EU, you have rights under UK GDPR/GDPR
(including access and erasure); for the limited subscription data handled by Apple and RevenueCat,
contact them or us using the details below. To manage or cancel a subscription, use your App Store
account settings.
8. Children
Receipt Keeper is intended for business/tax record-keeping by adults and is not directed to
children.
9. Security
Receipt data is held in the app’s private, sandboxed storage, which the operating system
protects. You can also enable the app’s Face ID / Touch ID / passcode lock for an extra layer.
10. Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
